No Forced Dispatch — What Actually Happens Before Every Load
Almost every dispatch service says "no forced dispatch" somewhere on their homepage, in one sentence, and moves on. Here's what it actually looks like, day to day, at Kostkiff.
How it works
Before a load is booked, a dispatcher calls the driver and asks if they want to run it. If the driver doesn't want that particular load, they can turn it down.
It's not a clause buried in a contract you hope holds up later — it's the step that happens before a load gets assigned in the first place: a phone call, not an assignment you find out about after it's already booked.
This applies to whoever is behind the wheel
If you own the company and someone else is driving your truck, this is what happens for them too — before a load lands on the schedule, someone calls and asks.
How this connects to what's already public about us
- You can leave anytime. Not locked into the relationship, and not locked into a load either — you're free to leave anytime, no lock-in.
- Every load is visible. Gross, miles, and RPM for every trip, in real time, in your own dashboard — nothing passes through us unseen.
Called before the load, able to see everything, free to leave whenever — that's the whole picture, not three separate promises.
Common questions
- How do I find out about a load in the first place?
- A dispatcher calls before it's booked and asks if you want to run it.
- Can I actually say no?
- Yes — that's the point of the call. You can decline loads you don't want.
- Does this apply to my drivers, or just to me as the owner?
- The same call-and-ask happens for whoever is behind the wheel, whether that's you or a driver working for your company.
- What if I want to stop working with Kostkiff entirely, not just decline one load?
- You're free to leave anytime — see our page for company owners with their own authority for how that works.
